Why Vitamin E is essential in your skincare?

Vitamin E is naturally found in your skincare and body. You can also find it in most of your skin products that you own. You may have also considered taking Vitamin E supplements.

Vitamin E is a name given to the oil-soluble antioxidants. There are 8 different types or forms of vitamin E. According to National Institutes of Health (NIH), only tocopherol is appropriate to be in your skincare or supplements.

Putting it topically can be beneficial for several skin disorders or for repairing the skin. It can help from sun exposure to healing scars.

As mentioned earlier, Vitamin E is an antioxidant and they prevent oxidative damage to cells by helping to remove free radicals.

Vitamin E can help fight off free radicals on the skin, which are the result of unprotected sun exposure and air pollution. It has healing and moisturizing, it is also a skin barrier functions.

It’s the holy grail vitamin for skin.

It is also anti inflammatory so it can soothing and help calm the skin. It can provide hydration as well.

Vitamin E is usually not recommended for people with sensitive, acne prone or very oily skin. And it is very uncommon for Vitamin E to cause irritation, itching or even a rash.

This is what happens when you feed
    your body Vitamin E:

It helps prevent signs of aging

The UV light, smoke, air pollution can damage collagen in your skin. Over time, it can also contribute to wrinkles and brown spots.

According to research, even a small amount of sun exposure. Going in and out of the office may decrease your Vitamin E levels by 50%.

SPF protection

If you really care about your skin, you wear SPF. Vitamin E can support your sunscreen and absorb UVB light which can be responsible for aging or burning skin.

Vitamin E combined with Vitamin C may increase the amount of time it takes SPF-free skin to burn.

Increases Hydration

Vitamin E lives in and protects cell membranes, which creates a barrier around the skin to help keep them healthy and hydrated. Which indirectly keeps the skin glowing and supple.

You can get Vitamin E from different sources. The daily quota can be easily met by cooking with vegetable oils, snacking on walnuts, sprinkling sunflower seeds on top of your salad. Green veggies like spinach, kale, Swiss chard, and broccoli also deliver healthy doses.

Applying Vitamin E topically is a bonus. It ensures your skins wellbeing. It can be found in sunscreens, daily moisturizers, treatment serums and after-sun products.

The highest dose can be found in products that absorb into your skin. My favorite from our collection is Jasmine and Rose Oil.
